Action Lines and Sustainable Development Goals
By Engineers Without Borders (EWB) guidelines and through the UN Global Compact we develop our projects in accordance with the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs). Those are a collection of 17 global goals set by the UN General Assembly: “Transforming our world: the 2030 Agenda for Sustainable Development”. For strategic reasons we associate each of our lines of action with the corresponding SDGs.
- Educational: Focus on professional training, improvement in teaching, collaborative training with engineering students and awareness initiatives;
- Management and Entrepreneurship: Tools and methods to help organize and manage institutions through the encouragement and promotion of entrepreneurial activities;
- Infrastructure and Basic Assistance: Seeking to soften the needs of the individual and the institutions (raise food and clothes, painting, renovation, water and sanitation project, etc);
- Sustainability: Striving for efficient use of resources such as solar heating, water reuse, recycling and waste disposal, conscious use of spaces, community gardens and water and wastewater treatment.
