The Juiz de Fora Chapter was founded in 2015 by students from the Engineering School of The Federal University of Juiz de Fora, where the chapter is based through a partnership with the institution.
Since then, it have been passed through the chapter more than 90 volunteers and dozens of collaborators. Based its mission, vision and values, these volunteers aim to change the society through their projects and social actions, building a collaborative network for social-environmental development.
The chapter has concluded more than 70 projects, which has impacted more than 7.500 people. These projects are prospected in institutions and communities in social vulnerability situation. Bases on this, the members, who are students and graduated in engineer or architecture, use their technical knowledge to solve problems in the local community.
Among these solutions, the chapter highlights the Usucapion Project, which allows families to legally acquire their houses, contributing for their dignity. Besides, the chapter carries out several projects of revitalizations, rainwater captation, management plans implementation, environmental education actions and collection for institutions.
Besides the finished actions, such as food and 1100 masks donations, there are others running. They are also producing masks that are going to be donated for residents of the neighborhood where we act. But for the production keep going, they need fabric donations. The most suitable fabric is 100% cotton tricoline, but most fabrics can be used. Can you donate fabrics or money to buy the material?
